WoW Forever Arms Warrior Build

A pure Arms build for the level 30 beta cap: Rend and Overpower do the work, crits feed Deep Wounds and Impale, and Sweeping Strikes lands as your 21st point.

21 / 0 / 0Level 30 · 21 pointsUpdated 31 October 2026 · Beta 1.60.1, hotfixes to 30 Oct

The talent trees still change between beta builds. We re-check this build on launch day (4 November 2026).

Talent descriptions come from the game client files (build 1.60.1.70707). Some talent values are applied by the game server and can differ in game; ranks marked as Classic Era data are not in the Forever client yet. The trees include the beta's server hotfixes (as of 2026-10-30) from the talentsforever.com data export (CC BY 4.0); icons and names come from the game files.

Talent order by level

  1. 10–12Improved Rend×3
  2. 13–15Improved Heroic Strike×3
  3. 16–17Improved Overpower×2
  4. 18–19Improved Charge×2
  5. 20–22Deep Wounds×3
  6. 23–24Deflection×2
  7. 25–26Impale×2
  8. 27–28Two-Handed Weapon Specialization×2
  9. 29Spearing Strike
  10. 30Sweeping Strikes

Alternatives

  • With the Talented Legacy perk (+5 points): Bloodthrill x4 for more Overpower procs off Rend, then Improved Slam x1 so Slam stops delaying your swing.
  • Weaponmaster x4 instead of Bloodthrill is just as reasonable with the Talented points; pick it if your weapon is an axe or polearm (crit) or a mace (armor ignore).
  • Skip Spearing Strike and finish Two-Handed Weapon Specialization at 3/3 if you rarely fight Giants, Dragonkin or mounted enemies.
  • Improved Tactical Mastery instead of Deflection if you swap stances often for Overpower.
  • Some guides open with 5 points of Cruelty in Fury before going Arms; that delays Deep Wounds and Sweeping Strikes.

Rotation & priority

  1. Keep Battle Shout up and open with Charge.
  2. Overpower every time it lights up; it is your strongest button before level 30.
  3. Rend any target that will live through a few ticks.
  4. Spend spare Rage on Heroic Strike against one target, Cleave against several.
  5. Sweeping Strikes whenever two or more enemies are in reach.
  6. Hamstring only with Rage to spare, or on runners.

Stat priority

  1. Weapon damage first: a better two-hander is the biggest upgrade while leveling.
  2. Strength (Attack Power)
  3. Crit, which feeds Deep Wounds, Impale and Rage
  4. Hit
  5. Spirit for health regeneration between pulls

How the build works

This Arms Warrior build runs on two buttons: Rend and Overpower. Improved Rend adds 35% to the bleed, and Rend matters more in WoW Forever because it scales with Attack Power. Improved Overpower gives Overpower +50% crit chance, which makes it your hardest hitter until Mortal Strike.

Crits are where the build pays off. Deep Wounds turns every crit into a bleed worth 60% of your weapon’s average damage over 12 sec, and Impale raises your ability crit damage bonus by 20%. Improved Charge adds 6 Rage to the opener, and Improved Heroic Strike cuts its cost by 3 Rage, so excess Rage turns into damage sooner.

Spearing Strike is a situational extra: 40% weapon damage, plus 80% more against Giants, Dragonkin and mounted targets. Sweeping Strikes, your 21st point, lets the next 5 swings hit a second enemy, which makes double pulls much safer.

Leveling tips

Start with Improved Rend so your bleed is worth casting from level 10, then Improved Heroic Strike to open row 2. Improved Overpower at 16 and 17 is the first big jump in damage. Deep Wounds comes online around level 20, Impale at 25, and Sweeping Strikes at 30.

Your weapon matters more than any talent here. Replace your two-hander whenever you can, from quests, the Auction House or dungeons. Arms works well solo and in groups. If you play mostly alone and take a lot of damage, a one-hander and shield Protection setup is the safer alternative.

These Warrior talents stay inside Arms because every row from 1 to 5 has something useful. Deflection is the weakest pick and exists to reach the next row; treat it as a free choice.

Changes in WoW Forever

Several talents here are new or reworked. Bloodthrill (row 5) gives main-hand hits on targets with your Rend up to a 20% chance to enable Overpower, which ties the two buttons together. Weaponmaster replaces the old per-weapon specializations with one 5-rank talent whose bonus depends on your weapon. Improved Slam now also stops Slam from delaying your swing, so Slam becomes a real filler. Anger Management and Deep Wounds were reworked too.

Rage generation has changed in Forever, and some players think Agility may compete with Strength. Nobody has confirmed that yet, so stick with Strength for now.

Toward level 60

Treat this section as provisional. The only full level 60 Arms build published so far comes from a simulator: roughly 39 points in Arms (adding Anger Management, Improved Tactical Mastery, Bloodthrill, Weaponmaster, Improved Slam and Mortal Strike) with Cruelty and Unbridled Wrath from Fury. Leveling guides agree that Mortal Strike is the next big step. Few players have tested a level 60 Arms build in practice yet.

FAQ

What is the best Arms Warrior build in WoW Forever?

At the level 30 cap, put all 21 points in Arms: Improved Rend, Improved Overpower, Deep Wounds, Impale and Two-Handed Weapon Specialization, ending on Sweeping Strikes. With the Talented perk, add Bloodthrill.

Is Arms good for leveling?

Yes. Arms is the classic warrior leveling spec: steady burst from Overpower and Rend, and Sweeping Strikes for pulls of two.

What stats does an Arms Warrior need?

Weapon damage matters most while leveling, then Strength, crit and hit. A final level 60 priority has not been settled yet.

What does the Talented Legacy perk change?

Talented starts your talent points up to five levels early, so you have 26 points at level 30 instead of 21. Arms players spend them on Bloodthrill and one point of Improved Slam.
