World of Warcraft: Forever goes live on November 4, 2026. Blizzard describes it as a permanent branch of the game next to modern WoW and Classic, with ongoing updates to the original Azeroth.
Access
- Base access is included with an active World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time.
- The Warcraft Forever Collection ($79.99) is a separate bundle that adds Warcraft III: Reforged and its Forsaken Kingdom campaign. It is available until January 11, 2027.
Rulesets
Instead of classic realm lists, Forever uses rulesets. At launch you choose between Normal, PvP and Roleplaying. Hardcore is on the roadmap for winter 2026.
New dungeons in the launch client
The launch client (build 1.60.1.70685) lists four dungeons that do not exist in Classic Era, with these recommended levels:
| Dungeon | Level | Bosses |
|---|---|---|
| Hall of Thanes | 13 | 4 |
| Ruins of Lordaeron | 15 | 7 |
| Excavation Site: Wetlands | 26 | 4 |
| City of Dalaran | 28 | 9 |
See the full list with bosses on our dungeons page.
Talents changed
Every class has reworked talent trees. Compared with Classic Era, 34 talents were replaced in the same spot of the tree and around 200 changed what they do or how they are worded. Each spec page shows the differences in its Changes vs Classic section, and the talent calculator already uses the Forever trees.
